Old Kent Road Woman
Found On: 16th June 1997
Over two decades ago, a woman’s body was found by a member of the public in a derelict house in Old Kent Road, London, England. She is believed to have been dead since September 1996.
We know the woman was black, between 25 and 50 years old and of medium build. She was 5ft 4 in height, with short black hair and was wearing ‘Easy’ jeans. She wore a green ‘Fashion Team’ sweatshirt with ‘Wengen’ ‘La Mode Des Montagnes’ written on the front. Her shoes were size 6.
In her possession was a ‘Tropical Zone’ white t-shirt in size medium with a yellow shoulder patch, a small white t-shirt with ‘Ravenstone Primary School’ in red letters, a small blue ski jacket with green flashes on lapels and sleeves and two long grey socks.
The initial research focus will include inquiries into the area surrounding Ravenstone Primary School and missing person reports from the time.
The investigation will be lead by the community investigation team.
