We are an entirely volunteer-led organisation, and our team of volunteers play a critical role in supporting the work that we are committed to conducting. Our volunteers enable us to achieve our goals more effectively and efficiently, and also help to build awareness, support, and engagement with our mission as a charity.

International Development Programme

  • Are you an undergraduate or postgraduate currently studying any forensic-related course, law, criminology, or policing at university?

  • Are you a recent graduate seeking a voluntary opportunity to develop your leadership skills?

  • Would you like to help lead teams on a range of projects relating to missing and unidentified people?

We are seeking the most talented undergraduates, postgraduates and graduates to help further our work and work alongside experts in their fields. You will be able to choose your own bespoke pathway as an investigator, researcher or specialist in a range of allied areas of work.

In return, we offer you a comprehensive training package, an industry expert mentor and a unique experience in providing a service to the families of the missing internationally while developing your skills in investigation, analysis, research and leadership.

OSINT

Are you an experienced or new open-source intelligence specialist looking for a challenge? Join us in solving long-term missing and unidentified people cases. This is an opportunity to work with other specialists who have dedicated their efforts to help others or to develop your skills through a training programme & apply knowledge alongside specialists. Media and Marketing

If you have Online and Offline Marketing, Social Media, Media, PR / Journalism, Content & Copy, SEO, Digital, WordPress, or Design experience, our Media team would love to hear from you. All input and time is appreciated, and there is no minimum time requirement or regular meeting to attend. You will have involvement with ongoing cases, specific appeals, and our wider charity strategy. Please apply below to be considered.

Fundraisers

We're an entirely volunteer-based organisation relying solely on donations and the power of the community. Seeking volunteers for fundraising and grant application roles. Investigators

Do you have the skills and attributes to become an investigator? We are seeking people who can join our teams working to ensure that all that can be done has been done in long-term missing and unidentified people cases. Our team come with a broad range of skills and experiences, but each undergoes the same unique 47-hour training with opportunities to undertake further courses to develop their knowledge & skills. Analysts and Researchers

Could you offer your time, energy, and skills to support our work in reviewing and investigating long-term missing and unidentified people cases? This would mean working as part of an Operational Analysis and Research Team providing analytical support for individual cases or for wider analytical and research projects within this field. Our analysts are from a range of backgrounds but all share the passion and drive to make a difference and initiate change, all for a meaningful cause.

Volunteer Coordinators

We have an incredible team of over 300 volunteers from communities and universities across the UK and internationally, bringing with them a diverse range of backgrounds, skills, experience and specialisms. We are looking for motivated and experienced volunteer administrators and volunteer coordinators to help support our operational teams at Locate International.
