If You Are Missing
Guidance and confidential contact options for individuals who are missing. Whatever your circumstances, you will be treated with care, discretion, and respect. You are in control of how — and whether — you make contact.
If you are missing
If you’re reading this, you may be missing — or you may believe that an appeal, investigation, or piece of coverage relates to you.
People go missing for many reasons. Life changes. Relationships break down. Circumstances become unsafe or overwhelming. Sometimes leaving is the only way someone can cope at that moment.
You are not in trouble for being missing.
This page explains your options, your rights, and how we can support you — whether you want to make contact, stay private, or simply understand what is happening.
People become missing for many different reasons, and every situation deserves to be treated with care and respect. You are a person - with a history, a present, and choices about your future.
If contacting us feels like the right step, we will meet you with respect, confidentiality, and care.
You can reach us at: info@locate.international
You are not alone — and you are not obliged to do anything you are not ready for.
If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, please contact the emergency services on 999 (UK), or your local emergency number if you are elsewhere.
If you are safe right now, you are in control of what happens next.
What we cannot do
We are not an emergency service and cannot replace police or safeguarding agencies.
We cannot:
Provide immediate emergency protection
Help someone under the age of 16 without involving statutory services
Assist with evading law enforcement or legal responsibilities
If we are not the right organisation to help, we will explain why and, where possible, signpost appropriate support.
