Volunteer Vacancies

We are an entirely volunteer-led organisation, and our team of volunteers play a critical role in supporting the work that we are committed to conducting. Our volunteers enable us to achieve our goals more effectively and efficiently, and also help to build awareness, support, and engagement with our mission as a charity.

We are inspired by the people who join our teams from all parts of the community to form a growing movement of people applying their time and skills to the review and investigation of cold cases involving missing persons and unidentified remains, at no cost to the police and families. However much time you have and whatever your experience, there are lots of opportunities to join our team and make a difference.

Applications Are Currently Closed

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Locate International. Due to an incredibly high volume of applications, we have temporarily closed our recruitment process. We are so grateful for the overwhelming support and dedication from those who wish to help. We onboard new volunteers on a quarterly basis and hope to reopen applications in March or April 2025.

Due to the high number of applications, we are only able to respond to successful candidates. If you’d like to be notified when applications reopen, please subscribe to our mailing list below. Thank you for your patience and support—we truly couldn’t do this without our volunteers.

“Being able to use some of the skills I learnt in the commercial world for charitable, altruistic purposes is especially rewarding.“

“Volunteering with Locate International allows me to support a charity doing fascinating, vital work, using my communications skills, working from home, and in my own time and pace.”

Alex Booth

“Locate gives me the chance to use skills I have developed throughout my career, to support a charity doing hands on work. Rather than simply making a financial donation. ”

Angela Earith
