We Asked for Volunteers. Over 200 People Answered.

We are genuinely overwhelmed to share that we received over 200 applications for our latest volunteer cohort.

This is an incredible milestone for Locate International - especially considering this is our second major volunteer intake of 2026 alone.

Running a completely volunteer-led organisation is both inspiring and challenging in equal measure. It constantly pushes us to think differently, adapt, and find creative ways to make everything work. But moments like this are such an important reminder of why we do it.

Over 200 people have put their hands up and said: “I want to help.”

People with day jobs, families, hobbies, commitments and lives of their own - all willing to give their time, skills and energy to help find the missing and name the unidentified.

That is extraordinary.

Every single application represents compassion, curiosity, kindness and belief in what we are trying to achieve together. We never take that for granted.
