A First-of-Its-Kind Pilot: Our Partnership with Devon & Cornwall Police

In 2025, Locate International launched a pioneering local partnership with Devon & Cornwall Police.

This first-of-its-kind pilot programme has been designed to strengthen the investigative insight we provide and enhance regional collaboration on cases involving missing and unidentified people.

Strengthening Investigative Insight

This localised partnership enables closer, more structured engagement at a regional level. By working collaboratively within an agreed framework, both organisations can:

  • Improve the flow of case information

  • Strengthen analytical review processes

  • Identify opportunities for additional investigative scrutiny

  • Ensure coordination supports operational priorities

The pilot reflects a shared commitment to professional standards, ethical practice, and constructive partnership working.

Demonstrating Best Practice

Importantly, this initiative provides both parties with the opportunity to demonstrate best practice in regional case collaboration.

By testing structured approaches locally, we can:

  • Refine processes

  • Identify efficiencies

  • Establish clear governance models

  • Create a template for potential future regional partnerships

The lessons learned through this pilot will help inform how independent review and police forces can work together effectively at a local level.

Looking Ahead

This partnership represents a practical step forward in strengthening cooperation, improving investigative outcomes, and ensuring that cases receive thorough, coordinated attention.

We are proud to be working with Devon & Cornwall Police in developing an approach that may help shape future regional collaboration across the UK.
