Glamorgan Man
Found On: 9th of December 1979
On 9th December 1979, the skeletal remains of a man were found in Rheola Forest near Resolven, Glamorgan, Wales. In his possession was a Salvation Testament with the name D Malan and an address in South Africa.
What we know
He was estimated to be between 40-60 years old, and was a stocky man who walked with a distinct limp as his right leg was fused and could not be bent at the knee. He was between 5’ 8” and 5’ 10” tall, had light brown hair streaked with grey.
He wore brown twill trousers with a size 30″ inside leg, a blue shirt, a light brown V neck jumper size 40” chest, grey socks and brown size 8 shoes. He had a holdall containing grey trousers, 2 more shirts and a pair of green socks.
He also had a brown imitation leather briefcase containing a Salvation Testament with the name D MALAN and address PO Box, Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa, a South African Airways timetable, a map of South Wales and West of England, and headed notepaper from the Sheraton Heathrow Hotel.
