Lost Contact Appeal

Can you help us learn more about this man?

Share ideas directly with our investigators. Your input could help solve a real-life mystery.

Have you lost contact with someone who matches the description of a man born between 1945-1955, possibly with a background in the building trade, and potentially having relocated from the North to London?
Your submission could hold the missing piece to this puzzle. All responses can be anonymous, and you don’t have to speak to our team.

What we know about Waltham Forest Man

Police believe this man was living nearby under the name of ‘Brian Wallace’ and had worked as a local builder in the Walthamstow area. Locals suggested he spoke of family - including children - in the North of England.

Do you recognise him from the photographs below?

What we also believe:

  • He drank in The William the Fourth pub on High Road Leyton

  • He may have had a houseboat at one time

  • He told locals he had a sister in Neasden, London

  • He lived on or near the Chingford Road

Any information, no matter how small it may seem to you at the time, could help us reunite this man with his name.

He deserves to be remembered and properly laid to rest, and we will not stop searching until we achieve that. As we mark 9 years since his death, we want to reiterate that he has not been forgotten
