Mark Greenhalgh

Mark is a distinguished Senior Police Officer with over 24 years of dedicated service. His career, which spans from Constable to Chief Superintendent, has endowed him with extensive operational and strategic expertise and core leadership skills. Mark is a firm believer in people development and a qualified executive coach. He excels in high-risk police operations and is particularly skilled in Public Protection & Vulnerability, focusing on Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, and Missing Persons. Notably, he is the first law enforcement investigator in the UK to be awarded fellow status by the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) for his pioneering work in Digital Forensics.

A seasoned leader, Mark has adeptly managed missing-person teams at both tactical and strategic levels. His role as a Senior Investigating Officer in numerous missing person cases has provided him with profound insights into the complexities and opportunities these investigations present.

Mark is deeply committed to advancing the field of Missing Persons. He holds an MSc in Criminal Psychology, specialising in missing persons, and is currently pursuing Doctoral research on effective investigative interventions for missing persons and ‘cold cases.’
