When hope is shared, it becomes powerful

We may well already be three weeks into February but we can’t help look back at 2025 and be proud of how far we have come. It was a year that was defined by progress, collaboration, and the continued strengthening of Locate International’s role in supporting investigations.

In 2025, we took significant steps to strengthen that foundation.

We signed a national data sharing agreement with the National Police Chiefs Council, which allows all police forces in England and Wales to share data and information with Locate International.

We are the only charity in the UK that directly supports police investigations in this way. It represents more than a technical achievement; it marks a step change in how charities and policing can work together safely, ethically, and effectively.

Alongside this, we deepened partnerships with coroners, universities, software providers, and fellow charities.

We welcomed new trustees, ambassadors, and patrons who bring insight, experience, and energy to our shared mission.

Our volunteer community continued to grow, bringing together people from many different backgrounds who give their time, skills, and commitment to the belief that answers are still possible.

And, just as importantly in 2025, more than ever before, we helped families find answers.

You can read our 2025 Impact Report here, it brings together the stories, data, and real-world outcomes behind the work of our team of dedicated volunteers and the important work they do to bring hope and answers to families, communities, and the police searching for missing and unidentified people.
