Bakewell Man

Found On: 16th May 1977

A man’s body was found in the false roof of some partially constructed flats in Bakewell, Derbyshire in England. It was believed he was diabetic as insulin was found with the body. The man had been dead for approximately 3 weeks.

About

Bakewell Man was thought to be between 20-40 years old. He was white, 5ft 8, and of thin build. He had brown eyes, dark brown receding hair, and a full beard.

He was wearing a maroon shirt and a black jacket with tartan lining. He wore blue jeans which were patched and worn, with black zip-up calf-length boots. He had a camouflage hat and a long brown scarf.

In his possession was a rail ticket dated 03.07.75 Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh, a plastic wallet containing Led Zeppelin ticket for 24.05.75 at Earls Court arena, and a Bang & Olufsen radio TR 600 1501-09 No 34383.
