Found On: 14th February 1988

On this day, a black African Caribbean male aged 20-30 years was found in the Bristol Channel near Newport. He is described as 183 cm (6’0″) tall, of stocky build, with short black hair.

What we know

He was wearing a navy blue ‘Boys Own’ donkey jacket with a blue and green checked lining (size medium), faded blue ‘Wrangler’ jeans (size 36″ waist, 34″ leg), an olive green, crew neck, chunky knit woollen jumper, a brown checked ‘Tesco’ brand shirt (size large) and a grey T-shirt bearing the ‘Amandla’ motif or a raised fist holding a spear and the words: ‘Cultural Ensemble Of The National African Congress’.

He also wearing a grey/blue scarf, a brown belt and a pair of polyester/cotton shell acrylic gloves with a Rayon/foam lining (size large). He had on a pair of Dunlop ‘green flash’ trainers, size 9.

He had in his possession an A-Z street map opened on pages marked Bristol, but showing the Cheltenham area.
