Dover Woman
On August 10th, 2000, a woman’s body was discovered at the base of the Langdon Cliffs at Fan Bay, just northeast of Dover town in Kent. It is suspected that she fell from the cliff above, as her belongings were found at the top.

Short black pin stripe skirt.
Black and blue jacket.
Black belt with a yellow buckle.
Black polyester bodysuit.
Black shirt.
Black ‘bikers hat’.

£60 in her bra.
Tourist information on Oxford.
Handbag with the name ‘Christina May’ on the inside.
Half a bottle of vodka.
Six rings, including 2x gold entwined bands (known as ‘Russian Rings – see example image). None of these rings were on her wedding ring finger.

Langdon Cliffs at Fan Bay, just northeast of Dover town is part of a scenic coastal walk from the National Trust Visitor Centre to South Foreland Lighthouse, with sound mirrors from World War I, used to detect incoming aircraft before radar, visible in the cliff face
