John Dempsey

John is UCLan’s Digital Safety Advocate and Forensic Computing course leader. He is research active within the Child Computer Interaction (ChiCI) and Security and Forensic Research (SAFeR) groups. He is currently researching ways to encourage young children (7-11 years old) to take a mindful approach to the online disclosure of their personal and private data.

His main teaching duties are in digital forensic investigations and forensic technology. John teaches students on both the Policing and Computing courses.
