Do you recognise Kingsthorpe Man? New artist’s impression released
Artist’s Impression by Hew Morrison
Locate International is renewing its appeal to identify Kingsthorpe Man, with an updated artist’s impression showing what he may have looked like during his life.
The unidentified man was found collapsed at the Grosvenor Shopping Centre in Northampton on 19 November 2010. He was taken to hospital, where he sadly died without his identity being established.
Estimated to have been aged between 60 and 65, he had greying, receding hair and a full grey beard. Despite previous appeals and continued efforts to identify him, we still do not know his name or where he came from.
Could this new image jog your memory?
We are particularly keen for people in and around Northampton and Bedford to look closely at the new artist’s impression.
Does he look familiar? Could you have seen him regularly, spoken to him, worked with him or simply recognised him as someone you used to see around the area?
We are interested in hearing from people who lived, worked or spent time in either Northampton or Bedford around 2010. Kingsthorpe Man may have moved between the two areas, perhaps travelling by train or bus, and could have been a familiar face around the railway station, bus station or town centre without anyone ever knowing his name.
It is also possible that he accessed support within the community. Someone who worked or volunteered at a hostel, shelter, soup kitchen, drop-in centre or another organisation supporting local people may recognise his face. Equally, another person who used those services at the time may remember seeing or speaking to him.
Perhaps you worked at the station, drove a bus or taxi, worked in a café, pub or shop, volunteered within the community, or simply remember seeing this man regularly as you went about your day.
You do not need to be certain.
We know that more than 15 years have passed and memories fade. You may look at the new image and think he seems familiar but be unable to remember why. Please still tell us. A vague memory, a possible location, a first name or nickname, somewhere he may have stayed, or even remembering where you used to see him could help point our investigation in the right direction.
Something that feels insignificant to you could be the piece of information that helps us finally discover who Kingsthorpe Man was.
If the new image sparks even the faintest memory, please get in touch. All information will be reviewed by our team, and you can contact us anonymously if you prefer.
Please look closely at his face and share his image, particularly with people who lived or worked in the Bedford and Northampton areas around 2010. Someone, somewhere, may remember him.
